Everyone who is a regular at a dog park has seen the moments when dog owners seem to have a hard time controlling the dogs they brought when them. The problems only multiply when one owner is in charge of many dogs.
One community is doing something to address the problem. According to the San Jose Mercury News, a dog park in Foster City is putting some teeth behind a three-dog limit at dog parks. If an owner brings more than three dogs to the dog park, that owner is subject to a misdemeanor citation.
According to local politicians, there aren’t many people who break the rules, but the ones who do are regulars. Often times, it is professional dog walkers. One resident said they’ve seen people bring as many as 12 dogs to the dog park which can raise safety concerns.
