Lucky found new home

Lucky the dog, renamed Bitsy by her new owners will have a warm, safe home for the holidays! This was a story we blogged about a few months ago and are happy to hear there is a happy ending. Bitsy is a pit bull who was stabbed in the head by some sick person. She was taken to the Atlanta Humane Society and they nursed her back to health. Although the person who stabbed Bitsy was not found, she now can move on and enjoy her new home - I am sure she will be getting lots of presents this year!

Sparky has Recovered

A couple of months ago we put up a story about Sparky, a schnauzer-terrier mix that was tied to a car bumper and dragged until he broke free. The person who was responsible for this has not been caught, but luckily Sparky has recovered and is ready to be adopted.

Animal lovers and caregivers from all over have called to adopt Sparky but the list has been narrowed down to 20 applicants. Although it may be a tough decision for the Atlanta Pet Rescue I am sure they will find Sparky a loving home - just in time for the holidays!

Doggie Washing Machine

A doggie washing machine? It seems to be a new way to conserve water and get your doggie clean for a cheaper price than the groomers. For now they are few and far between, but this may be a new trend starting in the near future.

Dog Christmas Photo Contest

You overwhelmed us with a slew of fantastic Halloween Photos, so we're going to have our first-ever Dog Christmas Photo Contest. Hopefully it'll be just as hard to pick three winners in the Christmas Photo contest. Here are the rules:

The pictures: Anything goes with this one. Your Dog with Santa, or your puppy under the tree. Creativity scores extra points with our judges.

The deadline: We'll be so busy sending out dog Christmas gift baskets, that we'll have to end this contest a little early. How about December 10th?

The e-mail address: Send them to cassie@doggiedeliveries.com, with the words Dog Christmas Photo in the subject line. If you can keep them around 400 pixels wide, it'll be easier for us to get them on the blog.

The prizes: We'll award an Ultimate Dog Christmas Gift Basket to the one we deem the best. We'll also ship gourmet dog Christmas treats to second and third place.

Has your pet been naughty or nice?

Parents aren't just bringing their children to sit on Santa's lap, many are bringing their pets as well. Over the last few years it is more common to see lines at the mall filled with pets and their owners. Pet stores, malls, groomers, and many vets are offering the opportunity to get your special pictures with Santa.

Here is a great article on photos with Santa: Source, ajc.com, Pets hound Santa for holiday photo ops
