When I saw this article I had to read it. I love taking walks with my dogs, but I don't love the pulling, and the leash burns I get on my hand. This article describes five ways to help you get your dog ready for a successful walk. My favorite and one I am going to try today is letting the dog play fetch first. Of course that makes since to get some of that energy out first - let's see if it works!

Ellen Degeneres and Iggy

I am sure everyone has seen and heard about Ellen DeGeneres and her puppy Iggy. I am not sure what to make of this story - I agree with both sides. I just think it has been blown way out of proportion since the media got a hold of it and we have to learn from this experience as pet owners.

Gwinnett animal shelter

The new Gwinnett Animal Shelter has opened and includes a lake and woods for the dogs to go for walks, and a 33,000 sq foot building.

Pets with Santa

It may seem a little early, but the Atlanta Humane Society is on top of things for Christmas. The 19th Annual Pictures with Santa are starting October 13th! If you live in the Atlanta area go support AHS and take home some great pics of your doggies with Santa.


PETS WITH SANTA PHOTO EVENT!

Participants have an opportunity to have their pet(s) and family members professional photographed with Santa Claus. Pets With Santa will be held on the weekends of –

October 13 & 14	10am to 5pm
October 20 & 21	10am to 5pm

Each sitting costs $25 and includes twelve color prints to develop at the location of your choice. Digital photos will be posted online for purchase after the session.
